Daily Care & Maintenance
Laminate is a low-maintenance flooring option! But keeping your laminate looking great, does require some basic care. We’re here to help you both find and maintain the laminate flooring of your dreams. By following our care & maintenance guide and establishing a routine, you can help to ensure that your new laminate floors withstand the test of time.
Regular Laminate Care
Sweeping, vacuuming, and dry mopping can help keep your laminate flooring looking great. By doing these three things on a regular basis, you can help to ensure that dirt and other debris are not present on your laminate flooring. Debris, if not properly disposed of, can scratch and harm your laminate flooring, causing long-term damage. How often you sweep or vacuum is dependent on the foot traffic within your home.
Should you decide to use a vacuum on your laminate flooring, you’ll want to obtain one without a beater bar as this can scratch your floor.
When/if you dry mop, be sure to consult your manufacturer for a solution that won't harm your beautiful laminate floors.
Lastly, pacing doormats and encouraging guests to take off their shoes before entering your home is a quick and easy way to maintain your laminate floors.
Dealing With Spills & Stains
The great thing about laminate flooring is that it is not, especially, vulnerable to stains.
Should you spill a liquid or create some type of mess on your laminate, simply wipe the substance away in a timely manner with a cloth or towel and go on with your day. If the spill persists then consult your manufacturer for an approved cleaning solution. The faster you address the spill, the less likely it is to do any damage.
